Water washing is primarily performed to remove ash content from the granular activated carbon (GAC). Ash content is the inherent property of Carbon, however, the increased amount of ash content in Activated Carbon will reduce the performance and efficiency of Activated Carbon in adsorbing organic pollutants and specific compounds. It is therefore preferred to wash away the water soluble ash with water, as a typical step in the processing of high quality Activated Carbon.

We, at KAPAKA undertake the process of washing the spent Activated Carbon which forms the preliminary process to remove the water soluble contaminants that are adsorbed onto the surface of the Activated Carbon and preparing for the Reactivation and Regeneration of the spent Activated Carbon.
